Youth Beach Volleyball Winter Program, September - May

The Beach YYC is proud to offer a unique beach volleyball Youth Program for all volleyball athletes who want to improve and develop their beach skills, throughout the year.

Athletes should have at least an intermediate level of skill and understanding of beach volleyball, including the ability to regularly bump and set. The program's focus will be on teaching intermediate and advanced skills of serving, passing and setting, attacking, blocking, defense and especially working as a team of 2.

Young Adult Performance Group:

Designed for athletes ages 17–21 who are ready to take their beach volleyball game to the next level.

This program focuses on building the skills, consistency, and game awareness needed to become a competitive adult player. Training is built around high-quality repetitions, allowing athletes to develop and refine serving, passing, setting, attacking, blocking, and defensive skills in a competitive environment.

Athletes will learn how to apply these skills under pressure through game-like drills, decision-making, and partner play. The goal is to help young athletes transition into confident, well-rounded beach volleyball players who are prepared to compete at the adult level.

Meet our Head Coach

Kellie Maclean

My coaching style is centered around building athleticism first and refining technique second. I believe there isn't just one "correct" way to perform every skill. Every athlete moves differently, so my goal is to help each player develop sound fundamentals while finding the techniques that best suit their body, strengths, and playing style.

Beyond technical skills, I place a strong emphasis on the mental and partnership side of beach volleyball. Success in this sport depends on trust, communication, and resilience. I strive to help young athletes become supportive, dependable partners who know how to communicate effectively, stay positive through adversity, and bring out the best in their teammates during both the highs and the toughest moments of competition.
